My Practice
"I value individual difference, honesty, integrity and wholeheartedly believe that the therapeutic relationship
provides the platform to facilitate lasting change.”
Finding the right therapist may seem a daunting prospect and I aim to make that process as easy and reassuring as possible. A positive and trusting relationship with the right therapist can be hugely rewarding and empower you to find your own answers and effect significant personal and social change.
I am a friendly, approachable and professional therapist with many years’ experience, working with clients presenting with a diverse range of emotional & relationship issues. I work in a very individual way with each client, focussing on their needs, goals and expectations.
At my practice in a peaceful, tree-lined cul-de-sac in Hadley Wood, North London, my clients are welcomed into a warm, open and nurturing environment, where they feel secure enough to discuss and explore the issues and difficulties they are facing.
The practice adheres to guidelines issued by the BACP to ensure safety of all patients through the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, during the current crisis, I am also seeing clients using video conferencing tools such as Zoom and Skype.
Committed to equal opportunities, I welcome the opportunity to work with all clients irrespective of race, gender, class, culture, marital status, physical ability, religion or sexual orientation.
I work with adults of all ages on a one-to-one basis.

Initial telephone conversation
During our initial telephone conversation, I will learn what has prompted you to seek help, understand what you would like to gain from therapy and help us determine whether to proceed to the initial one-to-one assessment meeting. It is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have and address any concerns.
The initial telephone conversation is free of charge and without any obligation.
If you would like to meet in person, we will arrange an appointment for you to visit the practice for an initial 90 minute assessment.
At the initial assessment meeting - we will talk about:
- Ascertain what has prompted you to seek help.
- The issues, life experiences and situations that you would like to discuss during therapy.
- Your expectations and hopes from therapy.
- How our work together may be beneficial for you.
Upon completing the assessment, you will gain an understanding and experience of how I work and decide how to proceed.
If we decide to work together, we will discuss whether you would benefit most from short-term or long-term therapy.
What is Short-term Therapy?
Short-term, time-limited, therapy provides you with an understanding and tools to manage very specific issues you are facing.
Short-term therapy usually lasts between 8 and 16 sessions and can sometimes lead to long-term therapy, if more deep-rooted issues come to light.
What is Long-term Therapy?
If you have been struggling with certain issues for most of your life, you may wish to explore these in-depth during long-term, open-ended therapy. Once you become aware of the reasons why you often find yourself in certain difficult situations, you can find ways to change the behaviour that is preventing or impeding your emotional and psychological growth.
As your therapist, I will support you at every stage of your journey.
How Long is each therapy session?
The initial assessment will last 90 minutes, and each subsequent session will last for 50 minutes. Sessions are usually scheduled at the same time each week to ensure consistency and to provide a stable and predictable framework in which you will be able to talk about the issues you are facing.
